From the Mouths of Babes Not long ago, around Valentine's Day, we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved diabetic dog Tia the Terrible when her health seriously declined. Naturally I was somewhat morose. Picking up on my sadness, and completely on their own, our four and five year olds imparted these timeless tidbits of wisdom in an effort to make me feel better ... "You had to let her go because she is going to die." - four year old "It's hard to lose someone you love." - five year old How is it that small children can hold such great wisdom when they can't even hold a pencil properly?
